HYDE
VALLEY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
GENERAL MEETING
Sunday January 17th, our
church hosted a General Church Meeting with the purpose to let us know about the
general ministry plans for this year. The goal was to communicate the vision
and focus of our church in order that all members become involved according to
their capacities and desires, Pastor Hugo stated: “We believe there is no
small work people can do to build the kingdom of God, we are call ‘The Body of
Christ’ so all parts are important and all together can make the difference in
our community.” So with this in mind, our church vision is:
OUR
VISION
“Be God’s
instrument for people to come to Jesus Christ and enjoy transformation in their
lives”
OUR
MISSION
“To praise
God, to share the good news and the teachings of Jesus Christ, to live in
harmony and fraternity and to ministry to the community and the world in the
name of Jesus Christ.”
Our
mission is based in the two greatest areas in Christian life:
The Great
Commandment
Matthew 22: 37-39
“Love the Lord
your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This
is the first and greatest commandment, and the second is like it: Love your
neighbor as yourself.”
And The Great
Commission
Matthew 28: 19-20
“Therefore go and
make disciples to all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of
the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have
commandment you.”
Pastor Hugo also
said that if we have a strong commitment to The Great Commandment and to
The Great Commission we will be a strong church. The pastors mentioned
the inward and outward plans.

to be active part of our vision and mission because we all are the church. If
you know someone who is not attending any church and are in need
of any kind of spiritual support, please let the pastors know or you also may
contact any member of the Evangelism Team, also if you like to know more about
